Miss World 2011, Ivian Sarcos, continues to inspire young women through her charitable works. In her most recent trip to Kenya, she took part in a charity event in the Kiambu county, where she and her team participated in a campaign against the parasitic arthropod, jigger, which is predominant in most tropical countries including parts of Africa.
Miss Sarcos arrived in Kenya’s capital last May 24 with her delegation that includes Miss World chairwoman, Julia Morley, Miss World 2011 second runner-up from Puerto Rico, Amanda Vilanova, and Miss England 2011, Alize Lily Mounter.
During their stay, they visited the East African nation and were guests during the finale night of the Miss World Kenya 2012 held at the Hillpark Hotel in Nairobi. Miss Sarcos eventually helped crown the newly elected Miss World Kenya, Shamim Nabil, at the end of the glittering event.
